Accounts Receivable Assistant

RightMove Recruitment are now hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our client, a 4* Hotel.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a finance team, you will provide effective operational finance and commercial support to the Hotel General Manager and the Hotel Management Team.

This a full-time role, working office hours in the hotel.

Key Tasks:

The main responsibilities for this role are to assist in the running of a very busy accounts department, to ensure timely recording of information, and to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounts information.

The specific responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Preparing bills receivable, invoices, and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients billing issues
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Assist in other aspects of the accounting function to cover for holidays
  • Provide additional assistance to the Hotel Financial Controller to ensure the orderly running of the Hotel’s Accounts Department as required

Our requirements for the role:

  • Strong computer skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a previous accountancy role
  • Proficient in MS packages i.e. word, excel, outlook
  • Knowledge of finance systems (Sage – HotSoft – Procure Wizard – Alkimii – MEWS – BIZZON, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills/English language competency – both written and verbal
